Paul Hutchison Named as Interim Director of Cricket

We are pleased to announce that Paul Hutchison has been appointed as the new Interim Director of Cricket and Men’s Head Coach.

Starting in April, Paul will take charge of Jersey Men to lead their preparation for the ICC T-20 World Cup Europe Qualifiers in July, and the Challenge League first round. He will also oversee the women’s programme including the hire of a new Head Coach.

Paul is a former left arm pace bowler with Yorkshire, Sussex and Middlesex CCC and England 'A'. As a full time cricket coach, his experience spans across elite and development cricketers, as well as with ICC Associate Member countries Denmark and Sweden, and as a bowling consultant coach with West Indies.

Sarah Gomersall, CEO said “It is an exciting time for Jersey Cricket as Paul joins us at the start of a new competition cycle in both the men and women’s game. Winning the County Championship as a player, and as a coach in Vitality Blast T20 and County Championship winning sides, Paul has a valuable mix of high performance experience and knowledge of our level of competition.

“It was a competitive recruitment process which is a good reflection on our cricket, and we wish Paul every success in the role”.
