Jersey Women Travel to Rome for ICC T20 Europe Division 2

Jersey Cricket announces the squad travelling to Rome for the CC Women's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier, Division 2.

Being played between 25-29 May, the team will face hosts Italy, Germany, Isle of Man, Spain and Sweden in a round robin tournament which sees the top two placed teams qualify for Division One.

Following a successful warm up series in Cyprus in April, the squad remains settled with the exception of Kate Follain who makes her international debut having progressed well through the age group pathway and impressing in winter training.

Head Coach Darren Thomas said "The squad has prepared really well over the winter and we’re coming into this tournament on the back of some strong pre-season fixtures, which has given us confidence. It’s a young group with lots of potential - they’re settled, know each other well, and we’ve built a good team dynamic. As their exposure to competitive cricket continues to grow, the experience will stand them in good stead as we head into the European Qualifier."
